Quote from founder – Annette Lawlor
I love all things recruitment and have worked on both sides of the fence in this industry: agency and in-house. I’m also the founder of two niche localization recruitment organisations. What drives me? I love matching the right person to the right job and hearing the excitement in someone’s voice when they’re offered their dream role, knowing that it will make a great change in their life.”
The founder of Lion People Global, Annette Lawlor is a localization recruitment expert on a mission to make a real difference in this exciting industry. By building lasting relationships with clients, and expanding and diversifying Lion People’s service offering, Annette aims to overcome talent shortages and progress the careers of all the great localization professionals in her network.
Not always a recruitment legend, Annette studied marketing in Dublin and put her sales skills to the test before discovering a passion and talent for recruitment. After only seven years as an IT and technical talent manager (agency and client-side) Annette founded Synergy Recruit in 2005. In 2013 she identified a growing need for an agency dedicated to the unique requirements of the localization industry. Lion People Global was born, and the rest is history.
With a sharp eye on the localization industry, Annette is currently focused on ways to make it more visible and attractive to those outside it. And to bridge the gap between university programs and business requirements. And if this isn’t enough, alongside raising a young family, you might find her letting off steam with some hot yoga or enjoying a Saturday brunch.
Anna GajzlerLocalization Recruiter | Client Services Manager
Anna equals sales. After selling software early in her career (2007), she discovered the localization industry and for seven years drove sales for Argos Multilingual in her hometown of Krakow. Anna is a firm believer that sales are about relationship building and decided to try her hand at recruitment where she could develop strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
Very consultative in her approach, Anna strives for a deep understanding of her clients’ requirements and challenges. She’s fascinated with all things social, including social selling, and believes that sales and recruitment have evolved more in the last few years than in the previous forty.
Anna’s passion is horse riding, but with a two year of her own she’s currently spending her free time in playgrounds chatting with mums about ‘brood’ as opposed to ‘breed’!

Ruth TraceyLocalization Recruiter | Client Services Manager
Ruth encompasses all the best bits of being Irish, great fun, hard working, friendly and as honest as the day is long. She started off working in an advertising agency, but moved many years ago to the world of localization where getting a word count meant literally counting the words in the manuals!!!
She has spent practically all her working life working with “foreigners” where she has enjoyed talking and working with people from all corners of the world. She spent a period of time recruiting interpreters for various sectors from Government to the medical area. Ruth loves recruitment as it gives her a chance to match the right person to the right job – Ruth manages and works with a lot of our LSP clients and along with Justyna is building our database of freelancers avail for hire. When not working Ruth likes to spend her time enjoying the simple things in life!
Valentina ConiglioLocalization & Digital Recruiter | Client Services Manager
Valentina is Italian and our most recent addition to the Dublin Office. She loves to travel! Since birth, Valentina hasn’t remained in the same city for more than five years, apart from Rome where she stayed for a whole 10 years studying, working in HR / Recruitment and in the Government Law/PA sector. But not even Rome could hold her, and Valentina was off again: Milan, Paris and finally Ireland (Cork!) where she discovered the amazing world of people management and went back to her first love: recruitment. Valentina is also a clinical psychologist with two specializations in HR anagement and International Cooperation.
Creativity, fun and a place to stay in touch with the world is why she joined us in our Dublin office, where she started out as a researcher but is now growing our multilingual customer service and IT support business.
Knitting, baking, creating new objects by recycling old ones, making jewellery out of old shirts or used coffee capsules … these are just a few things Valentina does for fun. Her next challenge is to learn to carve wood and build an electrical circuit... Where? We still don’t know!
Marcos Díaz DíazLocalization & Games Recruiter | Client Relationship Manager
Marcos joins us from Spain where he holds several Science Bachelors in Psychopedagogy and Pedagogika, and a Masters in Human Resource Management and Coaching. He has always been interested in human behaviour and interaction because he recognized at an early age the importance of community. A techno-savvy geek and avid gamer, joining us to help develop and manage our global games clients seemed a natural next step for Marcos.
When he’s not chatting with games designers and developers, you’ll find him happily discovering new games (he’s been a gamer since Nintendo 64), watching sport, planning a new trip or finding new ways to reinvent the Spanish tortilla! I dare you to ask him something about European soccer.
